"At age 16 in 1981, I started playing guitar. I immediately became obsessed with playing and collecting, which evolved into learning to repair my own guitars as well as my friends' guitars. Meanwile, my brother Tom had become an avid skateboarder, after we had both began skating in the mid '70s. These hobbies of ours snowballed into a huge guitar collection for me and a huge skateboard collection for Tom. In 1994 we opened Martyn's Guitars in Lansdale, Pa, our first of 4 stores where we sold the things that we loved.
The Store moved to Doylestown in 2004 and became "D-Town Guitars & Skateboards". Today, my business is still as much of a reflection of our passion for music and skateboarding as it was when we were kids. I hope you enjoy our store.
