Vintage Airline Montgomery Ward Combo Amp

Airline Model 62-9012A was made by Danelectro and sold in the Montgomery Ward catalog. It is essentially a copy of a Champ: 12ax7 preamp tube, 6V6 power tube, 6" Alnico speaker, a volume control, and a tone control. This one is in remarkably clean condition, and it appears to be all original (including 2-prong cord and external speaker out). It sounds fantastic with a variety of different pickups, but hot humbuckers push this amp into smooth, overdrive saturation. The tone control is interesting because it functions a lot like a tone control on a guitar.
