Epiphone's Grabber Bass is a modern, affordable recreation of its iconic predecessor, the vintage '70s classic loved by musicians such as Gene Simmons, Krist Novoselic, Mike Dirnt, and Lou Barlow.
Known for its stature, this Epiphone Grabber Bass boasts a large, robust three-piece alder body, attached to a 34-inch scale three-piece maple neck that's topped with twenty frets and pearloid dot inlays.
The star of the show is an Epiphone Bass Humbucker. Although it doesn't boast the same sliding ability that some '70s Grabber pickups do, this pickup still delivers thunderous lows and a punchy midrange that put the Grabber on the map. The control scheme features a Master Volume, Master Tone, and an SPDT switch to split coils of this humbucking pickup, for added tonal versatility.
In the hardware department, this Epiphone Grabber boasts hardware reminiscent of the original Grabber basses, including a bridge with a nickel cover, and diecast tuning machines with Clover buttons.
This bass comes complete with a premium gigbag.
